HDPDO vs PDO

Unlike regular PDOs, HDPDO (high-density poly-dioxanone) is made under high temperature and pressure to hold maximum tensile strength, resist enzymatic attack and become more thermal resistant, making it stronger and long lasting.

HDPDO stimulates the fibroblast to produce more collagen causing rejuvenation and revitalization of the skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Made in Italy, our threads stand out because they are high density which makes them stronger and more adaptable to heat while lasting up to two years.

HD-PDO Thread Lift procedures allow for a rapid lifting of the skin with immediate improvement and long -lasting results.

The HD-PDO Thread Lift is designed to provide an individualized, personalized pattern that elevates, lifts, and contours your face.  The thread is inserted into the skin, stabilizing and lifting the skin from the inside.

As the threads dissolve slowly over time, they stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and other proteins. This essentially strengthens the skin from the inside while providing direction to the lifting effect.

The HD PDO threads are inserted via blunt tip needles, called cannulas, or sharp-tipped needles. Once inserted into the appropriate layer of skin, they act as anchors as the skin is lifted upwards.

Dimpling, thread exposure, alopecia, under-correction, asymmetry, and parotid gland injury also can occur as early complications of the procedure. Fortunately, these reactions are predominantly mild to moderate in intensity, and can be corrected by a relatively simple procedure.

Based on the metabolism of the body it could last between 8 to 12 months
HD-PDO results last between a year and half to two years.

Disclaimer: Dimpling, thread exposure, alopecia, under-correction, asymmetry, and parotid gland injury also can occur as early complications of the procedure. Fortunately, these reactions are predominantly mild to moderate in intensity, and can be corrected by a relatively simple procedure. As with most medical procedures, there are certain risks and side effects associated with a thread lift. These may include:

  • Pain or discomfort during and after the procedure.
  • Facial asymmetry.
  • Risk of infection
  • Bruising and swelling
  • The threads being felt under the skin
  • Thread migration
  • Thread breakage.
